To celebrate Canva’s incredible 10 year milsetone, we threw a huge birthday party on the best harbour in the world for 1300+ Canvanauts! With a mere 7 weeks’ notice from brief to debrief, it was a spectacular feat that involved transforming all 5 spaces within an empty cruise ship terminal, a challenge that had only been undertaken once before at the venue. Our team took on this mammoth task with enthusiasm, and the results were nothing short of extraordinary.
Guests were greeted by a ‘duck pond teal carpet’ arrival moment featuring a pair of 3-metre tall inflatable structures of the company’s beloved yellow rubber duck icon.
Guests were captivated from the moment they stepped inside, as they were greeted by a world of creativity and innovation. From there, they made their way to a custom-built theatre that highlighted Canva’s incredible journey over the past decade.
From food trucks to bubble artists, giant ball pits to an interactive games arena, face gems to balloon twisting… the real highlight of the evening was converting the venue’s cruise baggage area into a jam-packed electric dance party complete with disco balls, lasers and hazers with the Sydney Opera House as the backdrop.
