It was an absolute honour to collaborate with Supply Nation to bring their flagship event to life, the Connect 2022 Indigenous Business Tradeshow. The event planning spanned 5 months and the bump-in process occurred across 4 days at the International Convention Centre Sydney. The event was the first in-person event since 2019 and brought together 1900+ Indigenous businesses, corporate and government members and international delegates.
The aim of the event was to create a platform for the Indigenous business sector to reconnect after three years apart. The event was hosted by award-winning SBS journalist Dan Bourchier, and it started with a Welcome to Country by Yvonne Meldon from the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council and a warm welcome from Supply Nation’s CEO Laura Berry. The Tradeshow also featured artists such as De Greer-Yindimincarlie, Gumerroy Newman and Harbour Geizam performers.
Supply Nation engaged The Event Room for end-to-end event management services including venue management, exhibition booth builds, audio visual, sponsorship & activations, exhibitors management, registration, guest experience, videography, talent and entertainment.
